In this project, we read the book, The House on Mango Street, by Sandra Cisneros. Our class had to complete literature circles. After reading the novel, we got to make our own vignettes. We had to make 3 and then we got to present them at a campfire on the beach!

Election Project
In this project, we had to read either Fever, 1793 or Chains. We again had to complete literature circles. Our class had to watch both presidential and vice-presidential debates.

ReUp: The Sustainability Project
In this project, we got into groups of four and had to build a prototype made out of products taken out of the waste-stream. We presented our item, Papertop, at exhibition night.

Speakeasies, Gangsters, and High Society: America's Roaring 20'sIn this project, we studied the 1920's and read The Great Gatsby. 8th grade teachers put together a murder mystery for an exhibition night and the students got into groups. I was an actress.
