It's all in your Head
In this last project, students will take in the role of the teachers and create activities for the class to learn from. They must plan carefully and have it with the connection to the learning of the human biology. It’s a great challenge in which the students will take a lot from.
Forward to the Future
In this project, students will create a tool consisting of light, mirrors, and lenses to perceive different perspectives. Along with that, students will be reading a science fiction novel and search for the author’s allegory. Students must be able to explain their lens to have the opportunity to compare and contrast their perspective with those of their community.
Small Spaces
Team Gallagher/Gilley/Challen’s 2013 exhibition project consists of one major problem, the lack of space. Statistics have shown that America is consuming more than what we need. “Americans constitute 5% of the world's population but consume 24% of the world's energy.” (public.wsu.edu) Not only is it the energy, but it has also been researched that America is in fact consuming more than necessary.
This project will lead student’s creativity to explore and find a solution to over consuming. They will be focusing on space and how we can prevent using too much of it. Students will create their own space with 8 others to present at exhibition night but will be working tightly with 2 others student to contribute to the final space.
Building a Better Athlete
In this project students will explore, learn, and experience about athletes. They will learn both the physics and humanities perspective of every athlete’s abilities. They will enhance their skills through field trips and challenges. Students will read and write about athletes to later exhibit their discoveries.
